v0.6.2: Pedal to the metal πŸ’₯

This one's been in the back-burner for a while, but now took front seat as the team wanted to experiment. Cards deal 1, 2, or 3 hits. And block the same. 

Combats feel tighter and the game is much easier to understand, at least by our play testers. 

But of course, we had to rebalance and rework most cards, but it really didn't take that much time. 

Another upside of this is that we can condense and explain everything using icons. (those icons are also explained in tooltips, if you are ever at a loss πŸ˜‰)

But now, tokens are not the best way to represent stats and resources. Lower numbers should allow us to use hearts or shields. They might clutter on screen, though, so we'll have to be careful.

Attack VFX

Now dealing or taking damage has a slash animation. This means that there is better feedback for dealing and taking damage. 

But it also means that we can do it! And we can add better and more cooler animations for each card or attack. 

We look forward to adding more and cooler effects to our cards and status effects! So watch out!

Card Animation!

It's a small detail while we work on the cards' art style. Problem is that I couldn't capture it in a GIF! 😁😁😁 So for this one you'll have to check it out yourself and let us know how it feels. 

We still need to do something about the cards' art. It's not up to the level of other games, and while it looks funny, it doesn't quite capture what we are going for. So we'll be working on that in the upcoming weeks.


And that's it for this update, it's not much, but we feel that the game speaks for itself a bit more now!
